Perfectly Fitted Together

Published August 19, 2017 by birdieklh

God has a plan and a purpose behind every word He allowed to be penned . . . an illustration for us to gasp a hold of . . . to meditate upon . . . to allow to sink deep down inside of our spirit and to change the way we think, act and treat one another in our Christian lives!

Dovetail Stone Work

image from slide share

Let us take a deeper look into the this passage mentioned in the photo, and specific emphasis on phrases within. This is a message to us ALL. We are the brethren! There is to be NO division between us – NONE.

See that “DOVETAIL” work there? Have you ever realized the STRENGTH behind that kind of fitted together?! It is the Greek word, Strong’s # 2675 katartizó translated “perfectly joined together” which, in depth, means  – like shown in this illustration – a detailed, “properly adjusted, exactly fit to work together, adjusted exactly ‘down’ to fully function!” (just a partial snip-it from the full definition).

Dear ones, we are to be one in Christ Jesus! We are to be LIKE MINDED!  God is calling us forth to become new wine skins He can use to hold and pour forth the New Wine He is getting ready to pour out upon this world for His Divine purposes . . . but He can only do it with those that are ready to walk TOGETHER in ONENESS of heart and mind. Those who are willing to put down their prejudices, pride, wants, desires, their “me, me, me” attitudes, and allow God to fit us together as He desires and function together as He sees fit!

There is a song, often used at weddings, but most appropriate for this message as well. I would like to share some of the words here:

Make us one, make us one
Make us one, undivided body
Make us one, make us one
For the sake of Your name make us one

Make us love, make us love
Make us love so the world will know we love You
Make us love, make us love
For the sake of Your name make us love

Abba Father, open our ears to HEAR, open our spirit eyes to SEE, open our HEARTS to fully grasp and understand what You are getting ready to do . . . what You are asking us to lay down at this time in our lives and HOW to fully embrace one another in Your love and go forth as ONE with You and become the Bride You have asked us to be – ready to BE what You desire us to be for Your Kingdom, in Jesus Name, amen!!!

Are Your Volumes Up?

Published February 27, 2017 by birdieklh

As one of the people at our church who helps with the sound system for various meetings, today I encountered a situation that gave me a spiritual message . . .

There was NO sound! Everything was on. Everything was properly connected. Levels showed up on the sound board, but NO sound was coming out on the monitors or the mains. What a puzzlement!

Finally, after exhausting all avenues that I was aware of, I reached out to our Worship Leader (even though he was at his place of employment) for suggestions.

He had me go back to the amps and check them one more time. Yes, every one was on. Hmmm…. “check the volume levels”, he said. “Oh my goodness!”, I said, “someone had turned them all down to zero!”

As simple as that, the problem was corrected! Amazing. How silly of me not to think of that myself. However, we had all been instructed to leave the volume levels where they were set on the amps and ONLY turn them on or off. Apparently, someone did not remember that tidbit of information when shutting down the system after church yesterday.

That really got me to thinking! We may truly love the Lord. Have completely accepted His finished work on Calvary. We may attend church, read our Bibles and offer up prayers . . . BUT . . . if our volumes are turned down or off, perhaps we don’t HEAR what He is trying to speak into our spirits!

OUCH!!! If we are honest with ourselves, we can recall a time (or more) that we simply missed hearing what God was trying to say to us. It could be an instruction. It could be an encouragement. It could be a reminder of His provision in the past. It could be a prompting as to which direction to take for the next part of our journey that He is leading us on. BUT, if we have allowed the busyness of our day to interrupt the actual delivery of His message; if we have tuned Him out, then we have had our volumes turned to zero!

Something to think about! Make time to check your volume levels today . . . be sure that you ARE taking the time to listen – turn the volume up on your spiritual ears to hear what He is speaking, clearly.

“He who has ears to hear . . . let him listen!” (numerous scripture references)

In these times, especially, we need to be fully alert and attuned to His voice. (See the letters to the churches in Revelation.

The Importance of Eyesight

Published July 28, 2016 by birdieklh

image from peposevision.com

Recently I had my right eye operated on. Simple (yet my doctor told me “major eye surgery”), cataract removal with lens replacement is what the paperwork says. All I know is that the first three days were really rough for me because I had to be away from TV, Computer and phone screens – so instead I listened to scripture, declaration/prayers using scriptures, and soaking worship music. That part of it was great – but – being away from my family and friends for that amount of time was difficult for me.

Now that I am able to ‘function’ without a patch, but still with dark glasses when in bright light or outside, I find myself squinting all the time. Using enlarged text on my computer and phone, trying to focus on written words. That is hard for me since I’m working on another book trying to get it out by the end on next month. You see, my operated eye is still very blurry but I can not use my old glasses on it because it could cause damage. And without the glasses, my other eye is also very blurry. What a deal! Mercy! I know all will adjust itself in the end, and after the other eye is done, I may have to still wear glasses but until then I do not want to buy glasses temporarily while waiting for the next surgery in a month.

So, as in most all situations, I find myself asking the Lord to reveal to me a spiritual aspect to what I am experiencing in the natural.

Boy oh boy, did He answer me! Here are some things to ponder:

  • Am I seeing clearly in the Spirit?
    • why or why not?
  • What ‘lens’ am I looking through?
    • the lens of my own experience?
    • the lens of what I hear on Sundays only?
    • the lens of the media?
    • the lens of others around me (friends, family or even popular opinion)?
  • How distorted is my view?
  • Am I sure of the lens I’m using?
    • do I know that it will give me a clear picture of TRUTH?
    • does it bring everything into focus all the time or is it blurred and/or changes often?

I could actually go on, and I may at another time, but let us address these today.

There is ONLY ONE lens that is always the correct, and that is the lens that Holy Spirit provides. Only as we depend solely upon Him (as we pray, worship, study the Scriptures) to reveal Truth to us – AND – as we allow Him to direct us in applying it TO our lives, can we have clarity of vision within our spirit. When we use His lens, we don’t have to ever ‘squint’! He provides PERFECT clarity! He may not allow us to ‘see’ everything that is ahead of us, but He will give us clear direction and assurance of His protection along the way. (if we cannot see clearly, we will stumble and fall)

Let us keep our spirit eyes focused upon our Lord. Let us allow His Spirit to direct our spirit every moment of the day. Let us not resist all He is prepared to offer us – abundant life, overflowing joy, unexplained peace, just to name a few.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct  your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

Also ALL of Psalm 119 tells us how important His Word is in our lives! Verse 105 is the main key, but I encourage you to do read the entire Psalm (to really go in-depth, here is a Bible Study for you – Psalm 119 – A Deeper Look.

I can hardly wait for my physical eyes to come back into full focus, and as I wait I am turning to getting a clearer vision with my spiritual eyes as well.

Abba Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit! Thank You for Your Word! Thank you, Jesus, for Your example. Help me to maintain the clearness of vision that comes only through the lens You provide! May I be quick to be obedient to that which You reveal to me. Amen.

From the desk of Steve Shultz:

Paulette Reed’s word is chalked-full of both prophetic revelation and Biblical teaching… you’ll learn a great deal from her article! Get excited about this opening statement from Paulette:

On the eve of Pentecost, the Lord began to speak to me about His season of celebration and power that we are now beginning to enter into. Many have prayed, fasted and waited years, even lifetimes, to see the power of God manifest on the earth. We’ve cried out to the Lord, “There’s more, there’s more, we know it, we see it in Your Word. We see the action in the book of Acts and if it’s You, Jesus, we want it!” …I believe we are about to see our prayers answered as the windows of Heaven open.

This NOW word is too good to keep to yourself… so make sure and forward on to others about this season of breakthrough we are entering into!

Enjoy! And thanks for forwarding this to your friends! They can subscribe just below…

We see the action in the book of Acts and if it’s You, Jesus, we want it!”

I believe we are about to see our prayers answered as the windows of Heaven open.

In the Old Testament the Feast of Pentecost was a time of celebration and jubilation. God had stepped down from Heaven to the top of Mount Sinai to speak to His people (Exodus 19–20), where they were blessed to have received the Law (Torah). In the New Testament, this feast took on a celebration of power when Holy Spirit descended on His people in the Upper Room (Acts 2:1–5) and the Church was birthed. (Photo via flickr)

Pentecost is the fourth of seven Biblical feasts, and it is the final spring feast. Granted, the feasts were originally intended for the worship of God in Israel, but we, as New Testament Gentile Believers, are graphed into the family of God. The Feast of Pentecost is truly a time to rejoice and a good time to reflect, remembering milestones and how far God has brought us [the Church] as we have journeyed with Him through our lives.

God established each of the Biblical feasts so that we would be able to discern the times and seasons in which we live. When we recognize and embrace those seasons we can step into our destinies as ambassadors for Christ.

Here is the Download From Heaven:

1. We must all be in one accord. Of course, this is always true, but we are not where we need to be at the present moment. It’s a season of unity as God’s people gather together, spiritually speaking. And when God’s people dwell together in unity, there God commands His blessing. God wants to bless so that we can bless others as we share the Gospel with a hurting world, caring for the poor, the orphans and the widows.

2. We are in a time of divine reversal. Genesis 11 teaches us about the Tower of Babel and the confusion brought to the people of the land once God scattered their languages. Pentecost, on the other hand, is the reversal of that event. After receiving a fiery Spirit, the disciples found themselves proclaiming the Gospel in every language of the world so all could understand and hear them praise the Lord. We’ve stepped into a season of clarity. May our spiritual eyes and ears be open like never before as we receive revelation from the Lord. (Photo by Jennifer Page “Fire Starter Poem”via elijahshopper.com)

3. The waiting is now over. Just as the original 120 followers of Jesus waited for God’s power to descend upon them, we have done the same in our own day and time. We have prayed and sought the presence of God, and we have received an outpouring of His Spirit. We are now in a season of action. It is time to stop talking about our plans and actually begin doing them by the power that the Spirit gives us

4. Miracles, signs and wonders. As we step into this new season we are about to see a demonstration of the Spirit in signs, wonders, and miracles, that hasn’t been seen since the early Church.

5. The winds of Heaven are blowing. May you feel the winds of Heaven at your back as you move from a time when things seemed difficult to a time where the assignments of God are easily entreated.

6. This is a season of new things. In this new season, try not to resist change and be sure to avoid the seven deadly words: “We never did it that way before.” God is about to do a new thing in our midst, and we must be a people who recognize His presence and not get stuck in the old things.

7. We are in a season of suddenlies. Don’t think it strange as we begin to see breakthrough and answered prayers in abundance (Acts 2:2). Yes, we have been crying out for these things, longing for the Kingdom of Heaven to break into our present circumstances. Now we are in a season where God will “suddenly” show up, manifesting His power and giving us the breakthroughs we have been longing for.(Photo via Pixabay)

8. It’s time to celebrate the generosity of the Lord and to be generous with what God has given to us. We find instructions for how to celebrate Shavuot [Pentecost] in Leviticus 23:22. Here is God’s command to the people of Israel: “When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord Your God.”

9. It’s a time for the bride to make herself ready. When God gave His Law, His Torah (Exodus 20–23), to His people, He took her as His bride. The Old Covenant was a marriage contract between God and the people of God (Jeremiah 3:1–6, 14). The Lord made His “vows” to protect, safeguard, prosper, and bless His bride, if they obeyed His voice. They said, in effect, “I do” (Exodus 19:4–6; 24:7–8). May we remember that in marriage, all that our Heavenly Bridegroom has is ours, and all that we have is His. So, let’s each do our part to declare His Kingdom, glory and power on earth as it is in Heaven.

10. Fire. When the disciples were in the Upper Room, praying for an outpouring of God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit descended in tongues of fire upon each person there, thus giving them fresh vision and passion to fulfill the work of God. Whenever the fire of God comes on someone, it always creates a greater passion for Him, accompanied by a greater passion to serve Him in the context God has set us in.

Let’s rise up and seek Him like never before, believing that He is about to pour out His Spirit in a fresh and new way, remembering that 2015 is the Year of the Open Window.
