Lost and Found Department

Do you ever find yourself standing still, looking up at the crossroads of “Lost” and “Found” and wonder which one you are really on? They run against one another, but they do intersect often (or so it seems in my life).

In the natural, I’m always ‘misplacing’ (loosing) things . . . perhaps you can relate:

Cell phone

Thumb drive

Keys

Eyeglasses

Shopping list

Something I purchased

. . . the list can go on and on and on . . . oh, I KNOW they are around – somewhere – but I can’t put my hands on them at the moment I need/want them.

Anyway, I digress.

We can not always readily get a hold of things we want but we can ALWAYS rest assured and be at peace with the ‘found’ department that we have full access to anytime day or night for our spiritual needs! Glory to God!!!

He is as close as the whisper of His Name!

His heart towards us is always ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ (2 Corinthians 1:20)!

His desire for us is a ‘hope and a future’ (Jeremiah 29:11)!

When we take up the position of praise . . . the position of worship . . . the position of the branches CONNECTED to The Vine (John 15). . . we are never ever lost!

Here’s how it can work for you (it works for me and countless others I know)!

  • surrounded by chaos? . . . let His peace be released in your situation dove in flight
  • faced with a bad report (job, personal, medical, financial)? . . . let His peace be released in your situation
  • uncertainties overwhelming you about the things are coming at you and decisions that you must make? . . .  let His peace be released in your situation.
  • too many distractions in your life just now? Get your worship on and allow His peace to be released in your situation!

Am I talking about a change of attitude? Something you need to say or do differently? Well, yes and no . . . it is an internal issue, not an external thing. His peace, that passes ALL understanding is what we must allow to guard our heart and mind (Philippians 2:7)! Only in Him and through Him can we walk in complete victory. He sent His Holy Spirit to indwell our very being and to give us everything we need for this life we now live (2 Peter 1:3).

Dear ones, learn to cast all your cares upon Him, and simply TRUST Him with every single aspect of your life . . . no one loves and cares for you more than He does!

What Happened?!

Published January 12, 2017 by birdieklh

Wham! Out of nowhere it hits . . .

WORDS

ACTIONS

ATTITUDES

Things start flying at you and you are wondering what in the world happened? Where did THAT come from and why???? So, you ask. The person tells you something that is SO not the truth of the actual situation. They are completely convinced that something was said or done that you can not convince them otherwise. Why is that?! People involved in the same situation yet both fully believing it developed in a different way.

DOUBTS

???????’S bombarding your brain

Oh, Father, what to do, what to do . . . (His answers – click the links below)…

…. “Come unto Me”

….“Take refuge IN Me”

….“Know that I am your Defense

….“Know that I will always be with you in all things”

….“I have given you My peace”

Abba Father, thank You . . . I am grasping Your peace and taking refuge in You, and ‘trying’ (very hard) to walk and rest in TRUSTING You . . . You have NEVER let me down, and I know deep inside You never will. Help my faith, Abba, right now the flesh is very weak and shaky. Soften the hearts of all involved in the situations that are causing such turmoil. Create harmony once again in our lives so that we can continue on serving You and loving one another unconditionally. Amen.

Israel – News Reports & Prayer Requests

Published December 29, 2016 by birdieklh

This in the headlines today from Messianic Bible (aka news@biblesforisrael.com):

“Our Israel forces are battling ISIS on the Golan Heights.  Our ministry staff could not drive there to be with their family over Hanukkah as the army said, “turn the car around, it is too dangerous.”

The head of ISIS stated that their NUMBER ONE goal is to conquer Jerusalem
(where our ministry is located), kill all of the Jews and then take over the
whole land of Israel and kill every single Jew.

“We will find you in every house, behind every bush,
he said.”  We will kill every one of you; that is why
God brought you Jews back to Israel.””

This in today (along with a long detailed list of specific requests) from Corp Prayer Resource:

“This is a fervent call to prayer, on behalf of Israel, to all faithful
intercessors, from now until the transition of power of the US presidency on
January 20, 2017″

Dear ones, there is an urgency to our Christian responsibilities! We need to pray as never before for Israel! It is our duty!  Psalm 122:6

Here are some great resources for you to become involved in intercession:

Where I Find Myself . . .

Between a rock and a hard place (or so the saying goes).

image from blogs.psychcentral.com

Yikes! As a woman of strong (or so I thought) faith, this image of a stray sheep stuck where it doesn’t belong truly fits my ‘feelings’right now. I truly hate to admit that, but you see, circumstances beyond my control – don’t you love that phrase? – chased me right into a hard place and now I feel as though the very breath is being crushed out of my being!

Wondering about the how, when and why . . . tears flowing . . . yet I do still have that precious, unending, overwhelming, beyond understanding PEACE within. It is a very amazing thing . . . this battle between spirit and flesh!

What to do, what to do . . . . Oh! The ONLY thing one can do in a time like this . . . “having done all, to stand!” Ephesians 6:13 . . . and, stand . . . I am! Here is what I am choosing to stand upon:

My God is the ONE Who provides for all my needs!

My God is ALWAYS watching over me, He is over me like a banner, a shield!

  • Song of Solomon 2:4 Jehovah Nissi and I build my life as an altar before Him because He is my banner! Exodus 17:15
    • Actually, Jehovah Nissi also stands for “The Lord my miracle”, according to Blue Letter Bible  (and I need a miracle right now!)
  • He is my shield, my buckler, my rock, my high tower, my place of refuge!!! He gives His angels charge over me! Psalm 91
  • Nothing can EVER separate me from His love!!! Romans 8:38-39

These are but a few of the promises I am clinging to . . . and I am trusting with all my heart . . . He is ever Faithful . . . this is just one of those times when the trusting comes along with a wee bit of “Lord, I believe, help Thou my unbelief.” because my flesh cannot comprehend all that is happening . . . but I am praising Him through it all . . . KNOWING He always has my best in mind . . .

Abba Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your peace as I go through this valley. Thank You for washing me with waves of Your peace, and thank You for forgiving my moments of doubt. I know beyond any shadow of any doubt that this too will pass and all will be for my good and Your glory. In Jesus Name, Your Handmaiden awaits Your plan, amen.

Hearing The Heart of my Father

As I sit here, rain falling steadily, I got to thinking:

“Why in the world are more of us NOT taking the time to sit in the presence of our Lord, truly listening to hear his heart?!”

I mean, let’s be honest here . . . we love the Lord, we attend services, we listen to Christian music, we (for the most part) select to hang out with like-minded brothers and sisters in the Lord . . . but, what about the MOST important FRIEND we have? What about our time with HIM???

Sure, we lift up a whispered prayer for our day. We may even speak a few names before we rush out the door, asking for protection or healing or provision. Then what? Honestly? The majority of us simply get on with life – with the ‘things’ of this world that we must address during the course of day-to-day living.

Oh, how we must grieve the Father’s Heart! Over and over in His Word we are given examples of great men and women of Faith who also had to face ‘things’ (the regular things of life) yet they took the TIME to seek out the Father’s Heart.

Let’s take a look at a few:

Judges 20:27         –          1 Samuel 22:10          –       Nehemiah 2:4          –       Daniel 1:17

Within the pages of our Bibles we have example after example; Old Testament as well as the New, where men and women of God took the time to seek the Father – AND took the time to heed His response – they LISTENED and then they acted upon His instructions!

The results were phenomenal!

Dear ones, His wisdom is ours –

         if we seek it!

His protection is ours –

    if we seek it!

His peace is ours –

    if we seek it!

His provision is ours –

  if we seek it!

What is the MAIN reason we should seek the Lord??? I love what this verse says:

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. (NKJV)
… to me, the “but from there” means I can apply this verse to any situation I face – there is NOTHING to big or too small for me to bring before my God! If I reach out in faith, wholeheartedly – He is ever faithful to answer!     if we seek Him and LISTEN

The Timing is ALWAYS Perfect

No matter what it is that we are planning for, hoping for, waiting for . . . when God says it’s time . . . it IS time!

His timing is ALWAYS perfect.
He knows what is best.
‘Oft our waiting times
Are only but a test
To see where our heart is at
(do I trust in this,
do I trust in that)?
Or am I focused on His plan for me
and asking Him to help me see
His perfect timing is forever right
and that there is abundance
even when things feel ‘tight’.

“Ouch! Lord, that thought hurt”
I say out loud
“Forgive me, Father,
for following the crowd,
and speaking of lack
when I KNOW You provide.”

Sometimes the ticking of the clocks
in our lives
have a soothing, relaxing sound.
At other times it seems
like click, CLANG, BONG!
(Oh .. my .. no! That is WRONG!)
A change of focus is what we need
to walk by faith – sow a seed
into the lives of others
any way we can
then rest fully in
The Great I AM!

≅          ≅          ≅           ≅          ≅

Dear ones, our loving Heavenly Abba, the giver of all good things, desires us to rest in His promises. When He shows us something that is to be, we can rest assured that it WILL come to pass. However, that will always be on His timetable, not necessarily our own. The waiting for those things sometimes is a wee bit difficult, but we KNOW He is faithful and He always completes that which He starts! – Philippians 1:6New King James Version (NKJV) being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

What He says, He will do – He can not lie! (reference)

So . . . let the clocks tick, or clang, or bong . . . it matters not. You are in His love, safe, secure, cared for. Rest there and trust!

Broken Wall

Published December 16, 2015 by birdieklh

broken-wall Something incredible happened yesterday . . . I had a session of inner healing that I had never even imagined/understood that I had need of. I learned about a wall (of protection) I had put up as early as the age of 3! Brick by brick as things happened, hurt by hurt I built this wall.

Over the years of my faith walk I had knocked holes it it little by little, yet the wall itself was still there – although I did not even realize it . . . until yesterday.

Once I saw it, realized it was still up (even though it wasn’t completely solid) and I could not see beyond it, I asked Jesus to help me get rid of it. With a few hard, swift kicks it came down. What was on the other side? What had been there all the time awaiting me? A beautiful meadow set in  rolling hills – breathtakingly beautiful  -a special place for my Lord and I to be together, meadow hills2 to dance, to twirl, to sing, to walk, to share our hearts – a place of perfect joy, peace and protection – so much better that an ugly wall that did more harm than anything else!

Oh, I wish I could paint, or even sketch what I actually visualized – it was so amazing – I know beyond a shadow of any doubt that I am my Beloved’s and He is mine! That He is so pleased with my heart that gets lost in His presence – what a joy unspeakable and full of glory! All I can say is …

Thank You, Lord!
