This song was in my heart as I awoke this morning . . . it is in my heart still . . . I can not help but share it with you . . . let us place our focus on the One who IS beautiful beyond description!

Yes, Lord, I stand in awe of YOU! I praise You will all I am, all I have and I pray that all I do this day will bring You honor and glory! Amen.

Trusting Through The Tears

Job 13:15 “Yet, though He slay me . . . ”

There are times of:

extreme heartbreak…

disappointment…

regret…

uncertainty…

There are times our inner man starts to question life with:

what if’s…

if only’s…

why not…

what now…

how can I…

We have dreams, plans, hopes, desires. We have faith. We make declarations. We believe with all our hearts . . . then there are times and/or circumstances that seem to dash everything to pieces; crush our hearts; evaporate our dreams. It is in those moments that we have a choice to make. Am I going to allow my life to evaporate along with the dreams? Am I going to give up hoping at all? Am I going to become angry or bitter or frightened or doubtful in my faith? Or . . . am I going to focus on the fact that God IS love and He IS sovereign and He IS in control and continue to trust in Him at ALL times?

We are blessed children of the Most High God – Elohim, Creator of all things is our Papa – and He loves us more than we could ever even begin to comprehend. His timing is always perfect. His grace is always sufficient. His will is always best. We CAN trust Him no matter what things look like, feel like, smell like, taste like, or sound like – yes, even when your heart feels like it is being torn in to pieces, literally ripped to shreds due to the pain you are feeling over a loss of someone or something. He is Faithful. He is Just. He is Trustworthy. . .are you trusting Him still, even through your tears?

Abba Father, You know the disappointment in my heart. You know the pain I am feeling regarding those things which I was hoping for. You send Your Comfort into my innermost being and I choose to trust You through these tears, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose that is only good for me (and those I love). Thank You for Your grace . . . I cling to it and I know one day I will see and understand clearly . . . for now, Abba, I chose to trust and rest in Your goodness. amen.

Supernatural Peace

Published March 11, 2016 by birdieklh

When it comes, it COMES STRONG!

It is unexplainable.

It is overwhelming (in a good way).

It is as if everything else in the hectic, busy, frustrating life we live just seems to melt away into the background.

It is MOST welcome!

serenity and peace

We pray; we trust; we believe that God hears us and we KNOW that He has only good plans for our lives. Why is it, then, when He opens up the Heavens and rains down His Supernatural Peace upon us that we seem to be surprised?! Silly us!

Thank You, Lord, for Your awesome, marvelous, all consuming peace. That peace that ONLY You can give us – John 14:27 (Amplified) “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.”]

With ALL I Am – I Worship

Published March 10, 2016 by birdieklh

Yesterday I did something I very rarely do . . . I placed a post on FaceBook that was sharing my heart (although it did have a wee bit of negative connotations) . . . One thing most people that REALLY know me will verify – I am ‘real’ – the good, the bad, yes, even the ugly – as the Lord takes me through things, I am open to share the fact that I have had some hurt, some doubts, some questions . . . BUT . . . they can also verify that I am first and foremost a worshiper of my King, Jesus. It is to Him I turn to . . . I worship Him with everything I am, with everything I have. I am His completely – in His presence is my strength, my joy, my encouragement. It is when I am in The King’s chambers that He downloads into my spirit His plans, His purposes, deeper revelations of Who He IS! That, my friends is where I belong – that is where I desire to remain.

On Tuesday morning, during a time of corporate worship with other pastors, ministers and leaders, the Lord gave me a very simple phrase that has stayed with me – I was actually about to sing it out when I felt lead to be quiet and speak of it later. This is what He gave me:

No matter what has gone before – regardless of what the future has in store – we are in Your presence, Lord, we want MORE! (I want more!)

In response to the ‘negative’ post from yesterday (here is what I posted – “I don’t usually post negative things, but these past two weeks have been building up a lot of ‘stuff’ … out and out attacks from people I really care a lot about … it is SO strange! How can my brothers and sisters in Christ allow the enemy to use them to attack one another?! We are to be working towards unity, harmony and sharing God’s love and support and encouragement with one another … I am, quite frankly, at a loss as to what to do next. Praying and trusting and seeking is where I’m at (along with lots of worship, of course).) – there are some follow up Scriptures He reminded me of . . . I wish to share those with you here as well:

Philippians 4:4-13  J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

Delight yourselves in God, yes, find your joy in him at all times. Have a reputation for gentleness, and never forget the nearness of your Lord.  Don’t worry over anything whatever; tell God every detail of your needs in earnest and thankful prayer, and the peace of God which transcends human understanding, will keep constant guard over your hearts and minds as they rest in Christ Jesus.  Here is a last piece of advice. If you believe in goodness and if you value the approval of God, fix your minds on the things which are holy and right and pure and beautiful and good. Model your conduct on what you have learned from me, on what I have told you and shown you, and you will find the God of peace will be with you.”

Philippians 2:14-16  The Message (MSG)

Do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night.”

Colossians 3:12-17 The Message (MSG)

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.”

The whole point of my being open, honest, and upfront with my post yesterday was twofold. One, how can you know the victories, how can I testify to the victories if there were no struggles – if people think we always have it “all together” how can we encourage them?! and Two, how can we keep our spirit eyes open, our hearts open to the possible words, actions and attitudes that we may be placing on our brothers and sisters if we don’t take time to reflect once in awhile. Sometimes, we need reminding. dear ones, none of us is perfect. We wound one another – mostly (I believe) unintentionally. But what we DO with that wounding, how we react to those things – that is wherein our victory or defeat lay.

For me – when attacks hit us hard out of nowhere; when doubts arise; when conflicts happen – I have to put on my dancing shoes, grab my flags, and WORSHIP Him with everything within me. And then cover the other people in loving prayer, and seek reconciliation as The Lord leads – be quick to forgive! Do NOT let the enemy get his stinking little foot in the door!

Death … a Part of Life

Published March 7, 2016 by birdieklh

nancy regan.jpg People die every day – actually I believe it is almost every minute – but in our own circle we all will experience the loss of a loved one, or of someone we held dear to our hearts. It could be someone you’ve admired for years, like Nancy Regan; or someone you love to listen to share their heart through music like Joey Martin Feek . . . joey martin feek.jpgroger beal.jpg    or it could be a close friend, someone you have worked with or gone to church with . . . .        lorraine trevino  . . . perhaps a daughter, a brother, a spouse, a mother, father, grandparent . . . there death brings an emptiness into our hearts. All of a sudden where there was joy, laughter, fullness of life, there is now this void – an overwhelming, “now what” feeling that tries to take up residence within you.

There are several things we need to remember when death knocks on our door:

1 – God IS in control, and He always has the best plan for each one of us

2 – Death is a part of life, until He returns, we all will face our last earthly breath (perhaps not exactly at the end of a long life as WE had planned, but it is a part of all life

3 – If those that have left us through death knew the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, as do we, we WILL be together again

Recently we have had numerous loses as the photos posted here reflect, and although there is a sadness, an emptiness, we do have the joy of knowing that each one represented a life that honored the Lord and that they are now free from the pain, suffering, illness, incapacitated body that they were in here on earth and are now whole and in the loving presence of their Savior!

What a difference it makes in our own hearts as we can reflect upon the lives of those special people in our lives that have gone Home – we can cherish the impact they made during their lives here, we can treasure the loving times we shared together, etc. We can thank God for allowing us to share in their lives in one way or another.

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Have you felt the sting of the loss of a loved one? Are you in the depth of grieving over the empty space which now fills where their presence used to be? If so, remember that God sent His Son, Jesus, to take our place in death (the death that we deserve due to sin), and has given us His life which is eternal (spiritual). We are a spirit, we have a soul (mind, will and emotion) and we live in a body (our temporary shell). Every one of us will live spiritually forever – the choice is ours as to how that eternal life will unfold – in Heaven with God our Father, and our Lord Jesus, or in hell (eternal separation from God).

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”
Are you still unsure?
“And they said, BelieveontheLordJesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
