Becoming Intolerant of Tolerance!

Every day – everywhere – we hear the about being tolerant with those who are ‘different’ than us. Okay . . . I agree . . . to a point.

Here are some TRUTHS:

  • Humans are all the same – we have are a spirit, have a soul and live in a fleshly body.
  • Our bodies are not all identical – male, female, black, brown, red, white, mixed, short, tall, fat, skinny, etc.
  • We all have cells, organs, blood, bones, skin – we bleed when we are cut; we cry when we are wounded; we laugh when we are tickled, etc.
  • We all have been given (by God) ‘free will’; able to make choices, decisions as to how we will live our lives – living for God or living against God

Here are some facts:

  • Depending upon where we live, we may or may not have freedom to speak our faith
  • Depending upon what ‘religion’ we belong to, we may or may not have a voice at all
  • Depending upon our station in life, we may or may not be listened to as what we say may or may not be comprehended as ‘important/non-important”
  • Depending upon whether or not we are of a certain sex (male/female) our jobs may pay more than others, regardless of our education, training and/or skill level
  • What we choose to do (or not to do) with our free time should be regulated (laws put in place, forcing others to ‘accept’) so that all will be more equal

All of these ‘facts’ . . . what do you think:

  • freedom of speech?
    • Yes, but only if you don’t step on any toes . . . watch out . . . persecution, ridicule, even death may occur.
  • freedom of religion?
    • Yes, only if it doesn’t  step on any toes . . . watch out . . . persecution, ridicule, even death may occur.
  • everyone has a say in our ‘democratic’ society?
    • well, only if you have a huge pocket book to contribute to the ‘powers that be’ at the time and agree with their agenda!
  • education is the great equalizer?
    • unfortunately if you are woman, you still do not get paid the same . . . and, sometimes if you are NOT a minority (black or hispanic or bilingual) you will not even be considered for a position regardless if you are the most qualified!
  • laws created for ‘equalization’ and ‘tolerance’ make things  in society better?
    • this one is VERY hard . . . as a Christian, I CHOOSE to love everyone . . . regardless of how they choose to live their lives – but that does not mean that I wish to subject myself, my children, grandchildren, anyone (everyone) to have to openly view their choices.
      • I do not wish to be forced to be exposed to sex trade activities
      • I do not wish to be forced to share a bathroom with someone who has believed the lie that they are other than that which God created them to be
      • I do not wish to be forced to be on the road with people who feel they must be high on drugs and/or alcohol in order to cope with life – putting my life at risk
      • I do not wish to be forced to be quiet about my faith because it may or may not agree with someone elses. (As Christians, we can ‘choose’ to lay our denominational differences aside and worship our Lord together in the unity His Love brings.)

Dear ones . . . God IS Love (1 John 4:8) . . . we are created in His likeness (Genesis 1:27) and asked to become ‘imitators of Christ’ (1 Thessalonians  2:14) . . . so yes, I believe in being tolerant of others because we are all in different levels of our faith journey through this life, but NO, I believe we need to stand firm upon Biblical principles and present these truths to others IN LOVE . . . then cover them in prayer not judgmental/critical/hateful towards them . . . we must realize that it is God, through His Holy Spirit that does the inside work. Our job is to love them and share the Gospel with them – lovingly speaking Truth into their lives.

It is a fine line, and it is not an easy choice to make sometimes . . . but, as we become more ‘tolerant’ of things, the worse things become in our lives, our land, our world! Perfect example of this is found in Judges, chapter 1. The more the people of God decided to be ‘tolerant’ and ‘accepting’ of the things (people) that went completely against God’s Word, the worse their lives and their nations became. That is something that is so very clear, and we can see it ourselves . . . growing up we actually PRAYED in school, over the intercom, right along with our “God Bless America” song and the “pledge of allegiance” . . . that was taken out and things started to go down hill.

Every time we compromise, every time we give the enemy a foot in the door, or allow something else to be taken away from us, the worse our nation and our lives has become. Another example . . . spanking your child . . . MIND YOU  I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT BEATING HERE, but a spanking on the padded buttocks of a child that has misbehaved – not in anger, but in a pre-planned punishment for behavior . . . that taken away, made into something abusive has lead to children not only being disrespectful of parents but of all authority in society! We need only listen to the news reports to see this is true.

So, what is the solution? Only God! We need to pray like never before. We need to love like never before. We need to speak like never before. We need to be in The Word like never before, allowing it to penetrate and permeate through us in ever single aspect of our lives, whether or not it is ‘politically correct’!

There’s a Shaking Going On!

Things, uncommon things, are happening in our earth, to our earth.

Newsflash?  I think not . . . we all live here and see / experience them.

Blizzards . . . continuing into spring time!

Devastation all around us. Air currents changed. Temperatures have no rhyme or reason to them. Things just seem ‘different’… well, they are. We can all wonder ‘why’. We can debate about the ‘global warming’, or ‘global cooling’, or ozone layers, sun flares, etc., but debating can not change what is happening.

In reading Nahum this morning, chapter 1, Holy Spirit opened my eyes to something. It reads “1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. 2 God is jealous, and the LORD avenges; the LORD avenges and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserves wrath for his enemies. 3 The LORD is slow to anger and great in power and will not at all treat the guilty as though they were innocent; the LORD whose way is in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. 4 He reprehends the sea and makes it dry and dries up all the rivers; Bashan was destroyed, and Carmel; and the flower of Lebanon was destroyed. 5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, and the world and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. 7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those that trust in him.” Jubliee Bible Translation (provided through Bible Study Tools)

The enlightment I had was this . . . ALL these ‘things’ that are happening is the earths response to God’s anger . . . He is also a loving, gracious God full of compassion and is holding back the full force of His wrath . . . but . . . the earth is responding . . .

So . . . do we live in fear of His wrath? If we don’t KNOW Him, yes, I would be quaking in my boots to say the least, but look at verse 7 again . . . “God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help” The Message Bible. We are safe and secure in HIM even if/when these disasters come upon us, He is our Shelter, our Provider, our Comfort, our Strength, our constant Friend. Nothing can ever separate us from His Love!!!

“Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing – nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable – absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.” Romans 8:35-39 The Message

What is the Difference?

Reading through the Old Testament, especially the early ‘laws’, ‘rules’, ‘decrees’ and ‘regulations’, it dawned on me that there were an awful lot of times when God spoke about ‘putting to death’ those who have stepped outside of God’s law in rebellion. Okay, so I’ve read that many times before, but for some reason, TODAY it dawned on me that people who are studying the other book instead of the Bible, have the same types of words . . . I personally have not read it, but have known others who have and that is enough for me (unless God asks me to do so) . . . anyway, saying all that to say this . . . the difference between the two is this:

Because of Jesus Christ & calvary

– WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE!!! –

 

If we did not have Jesus Christ and His FINISHED work on Calvary, we, too, might also have some who are zealous and take things into their own hands and follow the ‘murderous’ acts “in the name of God” . . . but the thing is . . . WE DO have Jesus!!! Jesus,Almighty God in the flesh . . . He loved us and came and gave Himself for us so that we can live in His grace instead of the path of sin that does lead us to death – eternal death (and if we were under law, physical death as well.

Thank You, Loving Abba Father, for making the way for us to get out from under the law which we could never, in ourselves, walk fully in! Thank You, Jesus, for showing us how to live and walk in Your love through the example of Your life, death and resurrection! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for being with us always, for teaching us and making The Word come alive inside of us – Lord, God, we ask You to soften the hearts of others who have been studying things that are still bound up in law . . . open their eyes to see the truth of Who You ARE . . . a loving God! Help us to remember that Jesus came and died for them too, and to pray for them to come to know You and leave their lives of hate and start walking in the love You have for them, in Jesus Name, amen.

Nothing Like His Presence

Listening to some relaxing, soft, wonderful “peaceful moments of worship” (playing below) – soaking in His presence – basking in His Love . . . Oh, what a precious, beautiful Savior!

Here in San Antonio (and all over the globe) God has begun to raise up/rebuild the Temple of Praise (the tabernacle of David, spoken about in Revelation 3:7 “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.” – The KEY David had was the tabernacle he established – with worship going forth around the clock – the result of this was PEACE and PROTECTION in the land! Apostle Rune Brannstrom shares this in full detail in his book “The Secrets of King David Unveiled” you may sample a free chapter here.

Getting back to what is happening in San Antonio right now – there are several places where churches have held a “Burn” and have not stopped . . . such an example is our very own SA Tabernacle of which I feel so blessed to be a part of, not only through the Nehemiah Initiative (which I’m a member) but also as a worshiper. Being a part of 24/7 worship/praise/The Word/and prayer is one of the most incredible and rewarding things I’ve ever done. Folks – it is not only here, but all over – the Spirit is moving . . . the fire has begun . . . may it continue to burn brightly . . . for the saving of souls and for the declaration over this city, state, nation and globe, that Jesus Christ IS Lord and that our Elohim, our Abba Father IS creator of all things. May His power fall, His glory rest upon us and His praises resound!

Writer’s Block?! No, Wait . . .

Oh I HATE when this happens . . . I know it has been a while since I posted a blog on here, and for that I do apologize.

The reason(s), I am presuming,

    are as follows:

  • My last article STILL impacts my heart and my brain
  • The busy ‘things’ that happen in life are at times overwhelming
  • I still live in this fleshly body which from time to time likes to SCREAM at me with symptoms that I long ago stopped speaking and claiming!

So, here I sit at the keyboard, with so many thoughts and ideas running (quite competitively) through my head and find myself coming up with nothing. The screen stares back at me and I can almost hear the laughter . . . yes, I do have a vivid imagination ♥

Perhaps a good start to posting would the third thing mentioned above. Struggling with weight issues, complications arose from that and the way I lived my life, my body really went down hill. One day it dawned on me that everytime (or so it seemed) that I went to a doctor there were more diagnosises placed upon me. And, like a dutiful patient, I started ‘claiming’ them. Yep, talked about them ALL the time. The result of such behavior on my part? Steady declining health.

Once I realized what I was doing to myself – the fact that God’s Word clearly tells us that “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 – and that everytime I was speaking the diagnosis, I was giving it more power over my body – I had a decision to make.

I chose to change the way I spoke!

Do the doctors and tests still say that I ‘have’ certain things? Does my body still ‘feel’ like it has certain things? Hmmm. . . I think you know the answer to that . . . but I no longer speak or claim them over myself.

God’s Word also clearly tells us distinctly that as Jesus Christ hung on the cross of Calvary, He not only took upon himself my sin, but also my sickness, infirmaties and diseases! (Mathew 8:17). . . that means . . . when He said “IT IS FINISHED” . . . it WAS!!!

There is a spiritual battle that goes on between God’s Word and my body . . . it is a fight that has already been won, I fully know and understand this . . . but battle heats up from time to time and I must stand firm with The FULL Armor on and trust that my body WILL come in line . . . for . . . I AM HEALED!
