Here are some mustard seeds . . . yummy, right? Well, when they are crushed and processed properly anyway . . . but what about them?
Glad you asked. Do you realize how small they really are???
Amazing, isn’t it?! But wait, there is more . . . do you realize what one little seed can become?
Take . . .
a . . .
look . . .
at . . .
this . . .
WOW . . . isn’t God’s creation incredible?!
But wait . . . there is still more . . .
Imagine with me, if you will, Jesus speaking with us, His disciples, about our faith. How it works . . . He actually compared it with the illustration of the mustard seed. It is a very small thing, but in God’s hands, it becomes something so significant that it brings shelter and protection to the birds. Look again at the photo of the tree. Notice how small the grown man is next to it?! That is how we are to be . . .
We reach out with our faith towards God –
He reaches out to us through His Word, His Holy Spirit, His love, grace and mercy –
He feeds us, spiritually; grows us up into people that are intended to have roots that grow very deep, continually absorbing His spiritual nutrients, and developing into people that provide protection to others that He will (fly) have come across (like the birds that rest on the tree branches) our path.
Are we ALLOWING Him to take our faith – as small as it may be – and open ourselves up to His growth plan? Are we ALLOWING Him to plant us where He sees fit – so we can be what others need in their spiritual walk?
I, for one, desire to align myself with The Master Gardner and allow Him to have His perfect will in my life – I desire to be used by Him to be what others need – I desire to share the shade of His Love with those around me.
