I tell you what . . . I LOVE visiting my home state of California! You glance all around and you will see majestic mountain ranges . . . then, lowering your eyes to a more local level, you will see palm trees everywhere. This fact has always amazed me – God’s marvelous creation seems to contrast with itself from time to time.
Contrasting or not, His creation is a never ending source of beauty and grace. Everything has a flow about it. Everything has its place. One part complements another, blending together to create breathtaking beauty.
There are sandy beaches (Which I will blog about another day), winding roads, hillsides, mountains, all intertwined with day-to-day, rush-about ‘business as usual’ set down smack dab in the midst, yet, somehow it all works.
Reflecting upon nature, then turning thoughts towards God’s people . . . I have to wonder, are WE as free-flowing, connected and complimentary with one another as God has set forth in His own ‘visual’ creation that we admire all around us? We, too, are His creation, and He has created us to complement one another! We are referred to as His Body, and as His Bride. We are all sum total of all parts that make up the whole. Why is it, then, that we do not flow freely with our brothers and sisters-in-Christ? Why is it that we have friction, strife, envy, dissensions? Why can we not simply be complete in who we are in Him and who He IS in us and who He IS in others? Why can we not trust Him to mold us all together for His glory – in His love? Something I’m truly pondering today . . . will you join me in praying for the body of Christ to wake up and start to BEING the strong, powerful, loving, glorifying bride that He intended us to be?
