Maybe this title isn’t the correct one . . . it IS Sunday, and it is the day we Christians choose to set aside to gather together with our church families and worship the Lord. To sit at His feet and hear His message sent to us through His servants (our pastors). Yet . . . I feel kind of funny saying that because it is Sunday, it is a day to worship. I mean, really?!
Monday? Tuesday? Wednesday? Thursday? Friday? Saturday? What are these days, then? Just ‘days’? Does not God’s Word say, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 (NRS) And does it not also say, “Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2c
I don’t know about you, but I am VERY thankful for the day in which we gather together corporately to worship the Lord, but I am even more grateful for every single day that God wakes me up and gives me another opportunity to worship Him!
When people look into your life, what do they ‘see’? What do they ‘hear’? Do they observe someone who loves God with their whole heart? Or do they observe someone who calls themselves a Christian, but doesn’t seem much different than everyone else around?
I am a worshiper and I choose to worship my Lord every day! If it were possible to do nothing but worship Him with every breath, I would do it . . . loudly, from the rooftops . . . I DO worship Him every moment, from my heart, but as I have to live in this world, there are other menial tasks that must be done – SIGH – I am so glad God listens to my heart!
Enjoy your Sunday, this day set aside for worshiping the King of Kings . . . then go and enjoy the rest of the week as another opportunity to worship . . . He IS worthy!!!!
